Joyce was born and raised in the Mead area with 3 sisters.  She moved to the rural Morse Bluff area during her high school years.  Joyce currently lives in  North Bend with her husband, where they are engaged in farming.  They have 3 grown children; 2 boys and 1 girl.   Joyce has 7 grandchildren.

Joyce is a librarian at the North Bend Library.  She started working here in 1990. 
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, 
e-mailing friends, and gardening.
