A
NEW LIBRARY FOR NORTH BEND
|
**********************************
Special
Thanks...
Thanks to our
supporters!
We
could not be at this point without all of our gracious and
generous supporters, both large and small. Every penny
counts! As we begin the construction process, we look
forward to updating you with progress reports. Our new
library is beginning to take shape, thanks to all of you who
helped share in the dream and believed in this vision for our
community. Thanks!
The
Hunt Foundation
The
Hunt Foundation has made a $50,000.00 grant in memory of
Robert and Jeanette Hunt, founders of Great Plains
Communications. Thank you to Robley Garrigan and Gail
Jensen, administrators of the Hunt Foundation, for your support of
this community project!
Peter
Kiewit Foundation
The
Peter Kiewit Foundation has awarded a $75,000 challenge grant for
the building of a new library. This grant challenged the
community and supporters of the North Bend Library to raise the
balance of funds needed to complete this project (approximately
1.125 Million) before June 15, 2011. If we are successful in
raising this amount, the Peter Kiewit Foundation will award the
North Bend Library Foundation a $75,000 grant.
Hazel
R. Keene Trust
The
Hazel R. Keene Trust has awarded a $200,000 grant for the building of
a new library. This grant is to be used for the technology room,
including all equipment and installation, moveable furniture, tables
and books.
Fremont
Area Community Foundation
The
FACF awarded the Capital Campaign Committee a $100,000 last-dollar
grant towards the building of a new library.

project!

include approximately 7,150 square feet. The single story structure
